French Photographer, Jean-Jacques Serol, has been solidly established for well over thirty years in Brussels' photography circles. After many years of managing professional photo labs, he created his own company offering various press and photo consulting services. His depth of experience has honed him for every challenge imaginable. Not only has he become an indispensable partner for many photographers, he's come full circle in his own career now by shooting out in the field as well.
Sophie Dauwe, a Belgian reporter and freelance photographer, is a true nomad at heart, galavanting her way around the globe as a travel writer for magazines worldwide since 1993. Her love and fascination for Asia, and China in particular, have fueled many of her notable pieces of work. Her passion and understanding of the region has given her an eye for nuances and stories that far belies what meets the lens.
In 2002, life and destiny crossed the path of Dauwe with Serol's. A love story ensued and out of their marriage, a lifelong partnership that gave birth to a "Photography Dream Team." Fortified by their complementary skills, the two dynamos now travel together wherever the winds carry them, filing splendid on-location “text & photo” reports as Pepite Photography. Their joined forces and talents continue to buoy their ambition to discover the world and share its bounty with everyone. Alongside their mission for global conservation and unveiling the mosaic ethnicities that comprise the richness and beauty of each continent, is their love for the arts, architecture and design, as well as comic book art. They believe these wide-ranging interests will one day find their place side by side in harmony and balance in our world.
